The great musician Fischer-Dieskau's last concert in Salzburg, "All Mozart Pro" including Piano Concerto No. 18 with Lifshitz *Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, who passed away in May 2012 at the age of 86, has played an important role at the historic and traditional Salzburg Music Festival. Fischer-Dieskau conducted the Mozarteum Orchestra on August 6, 2006. The contents of this recording is from his last concert in Salzburg, and is an all-Mozart program.The concert started with a solemn "Adagio and Fugue" and closed with Symphony No. 32, also called "Overture," in a single movement form. The performance of Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2 conducted by Fischer-Dieskau in December 2002 (ORFEO810102) was also impressive, but here again, Lifschitz impresses us not only as a soloist but also as a sincere partner in dialogue with a great musician.
