Description:
Johannes Plamzoller's own label, Audax Records!Albeniz sung by Guatemalan soprano Adriana González, winner of the Domingo-led competition "Operalia 2019"! Japanese commentary included! A recording project of unknown repertoire presented by Audax Records, the label of new age baroque violinist Johannes Plamzoller. Adriana González is a remarkable soprano from Guatemala who won first prize in the prestigious Operalia (Opera) competition for young singers, presided over by Placido Domingo, in 2019. González and Basque pianist Iñaki Encina Oyon have made a splash with their first album, "The Songs of Robert Dussaud and Hélène Covatti" (ADX13722), an undiscovered repertoire of songs. The second album features all the songs of the great Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz! Although Albéniz is the most well-known and performed composer from the Iberian Peninsula, his songs are not well known (especially outside of Spain). While the high quality of his music is beyond dispute, there are many reasons for this: the lack of published scores until 20 years ago, the neglect of culture (especially music) during the Franco dictatorship, the excessive use of accidentals, the high degree of difficulty, and the variety of languages used (Italian, French, English, etc.). are considered. In this album, González's versatile voice will spread the world the unknown world of songs by Albéniz, the father of the Spanish National Music School and world-renowned for his scenic, Spanish-style works.
