Description:
A collection of Baroque and Rococo works for violin and harpsichord. The works are elegant and refined, and are performed by Daniel and Jocelyn Cuiller, two of the leading figures in the world of classical music, mainly in France. Dufry's reputation was established by Antoine de Sartin, a talented politician of the time; Chaubert by the Duc de Conti; and Mondonville by the Marquis de Bouffler and Madame de Pompadour. Armand Louis Coupland was also an accomplished organist who held several posts in Paris, the last as music teacher to Louis XVI. The charm of the gems of music created by these cultural patrons is brought out in its finest form. Jocelyn Cuiller (harpsichord) has been harpsichordist of the Ensemble Stradivarius since its founding period. She studied piano with Sanson François and harpsichord with Huguette Dreyfus. Daniel Cuiller (violin) has been the conductor of the Ensemble Stradivarius since its foundation. His research and performance of French works are at the core of his musical career. King International
