It features works by Palestrina and other Roman Renaissance composers, including Allegri, the Anerio brothers, Animuccia, Giovanelli, Marenzio, Nannino, and Soriano. The London Oratory Schola Cantorum Boys Choir, founded in 1996, is the choir of the London Oratory School, where Catholic boys aged 7 to 18 receive a very good choral education under the British public education system, singing Mass every Saturday at liturgies and major feast days. The choir has toured the U.S. and Europe and made numerous recordings.In July 2025, the music from this album will be performed at the Palestrina 500, a year-long music festival in Michigan, USA.
