The young British conductor Nicolas Colon and the Aurora Orchestra perform this work together. The Aurora Orchestra was founded 20 years ago by its principal conductor, Colón, and has rapidly gained prominence in recent years as a chamber orchestra composed of extraordinary musicians. The orchestra has received two Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards as well as other major music awards. Nicola Benedetti won the Grammy Award for "Best Classical Instrumental Soloist" in 2020, is a two-time winner of the Classical Brit Award, was named "Personality of the Year" by BBC Music Magazine in 2021, and is a recipient of the Order of the British Empire. He is also a recipient of the Order of the British Empire. She runs the Benedetti Foundation for Young Musicians and in 2022 became the first woman to be appointed Artistic Director of the world-renowned Edinburgh International Festival.
