Specialist in ancient music, Christina Pluhar has composed an original album that skillfully blends vocal and instrumental music to tell the story of Orfeo and Euridice, with works by Monteverdi and his contemporaries, plus works by Gluck and 20th century composers Carlos Gardel and Luis Bonfa. The album is a unique and original album that skillfully blends vocal and instrumental music. Villasson sings Orfeo in operas by Monteverdi, Gluck, Pelli, and Sartorio, as well as songs by Gardel and Bonfa. Pulhaar plays theorbo and baroque harp and conducts Larpeggiata, weaving instrumental pieces by Allegri, Buonamente, Caccini, Cazzati, Priuli, and other composers into the narrative flow of Orfeo's world.
