Inspired by the activities of ROACH SQUAD with Frankie Stubbs from his hometown Sunderland, who recently released an album? The band is a reunion of H.D.Q., which stopped its activities after Dickie's death in 2015, with the remaining members taking over Dickie's will. The name of the band has been sealed, but the sound is still the same melodic sound! Moreover, the vocalist, Golly, is a well-known figure in the UK melodic scene, having worked not only with H.D.Q. but also with STOKOE and THE JONES, as you all know. The lineup includes Neil of SHUTDOWN, a pioneer of UK emotional/melodic music, and Mick, who was also active in RED ALERT and ANGELIC UPSTERS. The band's powerful and spontaneous melodies with a sultry wriggly voice and Dickie-inspired guitar work are a must for any musician who wants to be a part of the UK's emotional and melodic scene.This is the kind of sound that UK melodic lovers can't get enough of, and it's back again! At times, it reminds me of HOOTON 3 CAR and BROCCOLI that appeared after H.D.Q., and in general, it embodies UK melancholy melodic music, which is huge. The return of the good old Sunderland sound! The last album was amazing, but the tension in this album is also amazing! The CD version was co-released by Serial Bowl records and Waterslide in Sunderland, while the analog version was co-released by Dead Broke Rekerds in the US and Break The Silence records in Germany.
