Manabu Oishi Trio's "WISH" was released as the 100th work in the "AS Series" produced by Sawano Kobo. The trio's intelligent, cool, and tense playing reminded me once again of its potential. This must have been due in large part to the chemical reaction caused by the participation of Jean-Philippe Villet. The Jean-Philippe Villet Trio shines especially brightly in the "AS Series. The refined sound that reflects their supple sensibility has been brushed up even further on this, their sixth album in total.Not Yet" unfolds softly and vividly, "Le Re Grave" has an elegant glow that softens the night air, "Page 345" seems to release uncontrollable emotions, "Le Corridor" is wrapped in a gentle oval with a moist texture, and delicate sounds echo through the space. Le Corridor," "Les Mots Rebelles," which draws you in with its endlessly delicate and romantic melody, "Co-Erance," which leaves you breathless with its diverse developments, and "La Barge Rousse," which makes you feel as if you are listening closely to the heartbeat of nature, The sensual and dreamy "Vert" is filled with sweet nostalgia.
