The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which carries on the tradition of Bruckner performance, has completed an unprecedented complete cycle under the direction of master Thielemann. A commemorative disc for the 200th anniversary of Bruckner's birth. Christian Thielemann, one of the world's most popular masters of German music, and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra have completed Bruckner: The Complete Symphonies, the first complete Bruckner cycle to be completed by a single conductor in a project commemorating the composer's 200th birthday in 2024. 11 pieces. The complete Bruckner cycle, including F minor and No. 0, was recorded at the Musikverein in Vienna and the Salzburg Festival over a four-year period beginning with No. 2 in 2019 and ending with No. 9 in 2022 (No. 3, No. 1, F minor, and No. 0 were performed without audience participation under the corona). The F minor and No. 0 were performed for the first time by the Vienna Philharmonic, while No. 1 is based on a late Vienna manuscript. Thielemann's interpretation is fluent, with a rich and dense sound that is in keeping with the Vienna Philharmonic's tradition of Bruckner performance. The opposing arrangement, which highlights the structure of the work, is also very effective. Each disc is housed in a cardboard clamshell box with a 172-page booklet.＜Christian Thielemann, conductor, was born in Berlin in 1959. He studied at the Stern School of Music and became an assistant to Karajan. After serving as General Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Music Director of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, he has been Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden since 2012.
