Description:
The second Beethoven Trio project following "Fate," the second Beethoven Piano Trio project featuring the face of Yo-Yo Ma (cello), Emmanuel Ax (piano), and Leonidas Kavakos (violin). The three virtuosos first performed as a trio when they performed Brahms' Piano Trio at the 2014 Tanglewood Music Festival. The three hit it off and recorded Brahms: Piano Trio (2017) soon after. The three performed together again at the 2021 Tanglewood Music Festival, this time in a trio performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 2. This led to the release of "Beethoven for Three - Symphony No. 2 & No. 5
