The Brooklyn duo Water From Your Eyes has signed a contract with the prestigious Matador and released their latest album "Everyone's Crushed", their first album with the new label! The band's last album, "Structure", released in 2021, was a dark horse among indie listeners as one of the best albums of the year, and now the band has finally completed the album, which members Rachel Brown and Nate Amos say is in a sense a reset of their previous works and a re-creation of their debut album. The album is a collection of nine experimental pop songs that are at once cute and ferocious, raw and highly addictive.From the atypical dance-rock of "Barley," which was the first single to win Best New Track on Pitchfork, to "14," a fluttering curtain of detuned strings and drones, the latest form of anarchic, free-form Brooklyn art-rock is here. The result is a masterpiece of the latest form of anarchic, free-form Brooklyn art-rock.
