The Hilliard Ensemble is one of the world's finest chamber vocal groups, and their overwhelming reputation in the field of ancient and contemporary music is unsurpassed. The Hilliard Ensemble's distinctive style and refined musical talent have attracted audiences not only to the medieval and Renaissance repertoire, but also to works composed for them by contemporary composers. 40 years after its founding in 2014, the group sadly disbanded at the end of 2015. EMI's "Reflexé" series of session recordings of Renaissance music were all groundbreaking and highly acclaimed at the time. The "Flemish Music Masterworks Box" was a great success, and now we are pleased to present a boxed set of six recordings of Renaissance music from England, Italy, Spain, and Mexico.
