Italian film music by Marco Albonetti, one of Italy's leading saxophonists! Marco Albonetti, one of Italy's most acclaimed concert saxophonists, has been active as a soloist and teacher around the world since his highly acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The orchestra is the same Rome Sinfonietta that Ennio Morricone used for his great film music recordings. Furthermore, the recordings were made at the historic Forum Studios in Rome, where many of the greatest Italian film scores were recorded. This album features music from 10 films, mainly masterpieces by Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota, arranged and orchestrated by Paolo Silvestri. Albonetti attended a Christmas Eve 2002 gathering at the home of conductor Riccardo Muti, where he met Morricone and had an inspiring opportunity to discuss music with him.
