The Takács String Quartet and Lawrence Power perform Lawrence Power's "American Quintet" with the Takács String Quartet! The quartet has recorded exclusively for Hyperion since 2006 with leading Hyperion artists such as Stephen Hough, Marc-André Amrand, and Lawrence Power, and this new recording is their first with the label since "Brahms: String Quintets (CDA 67900)". In this new recording, she performs with Lawrence Power for the first time since the Brahms String Quintets (CDA 67900). The String Quintet No. 3, written by Dvořák during his stay in New World America, is also nicknamed "America" like the famous String Quartet No. 12.
