Hyperion and Marwood will perform the Violin Concerto in D minor, a masterpiece and posthumous work that was sealed until it was discovered and premiered in 1937. The three works are "Violin Concerto in A minor," arranged by Schumann himself from the "Cello Concerto," and "Fantasy," premiered by Joachim. This is a masterpiece among the masterpieces of the German Romanticism, which joins the "Romantic Concerto Series" that has been discovering unknown Romantic music.Hyperion's Schumann shows great promise following Hewitt's "Piano Concerto"!
