Description:

Pink Floyd's 1973 masterpiece "The Dark Side of the Moon (Madness)". From "The Dark Side of the Moon Tour," a year and 10 months long tour from January 20, 1972 to November 4, 1973, which was around the time of its completion and release, comes a live CD of the first day of their second Japan tour in 1972, seven months after their legendary first visit to Japan where they thrilled the whole island with their appearance at "Hakone Aphrodite. From the Japan tour in 1972, here is a live CD of the first day of the tour at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on March 6. The lyric card titled "The Other Side of the Moon - A Work for All the Madmen" was handed out to the audience, explaining through the card that the set list for this tour was songs from the new album "Madness" that would be released later. The second time the band came to Japan. In the first half of the show, in addition to "Speak To Me," "Breathe In The Air," "Time," and "Money," the band performed "The Travel Section (Travel Sequence)," the prototype for "On The Run," and "The Mortality Sequence," another prototype for "The Great Gig in the Sky. The second half of the show featured "Us And Them" and "Money" as well as "The Travel Section (Travel Sequence)," the prototype for "On The Run," and "The Mortality Sequence (The Religion Song)," another prototype for "The Great Gig in the Sky. In the latter half of the show, the band will perform "Us And Them," "Careful With That Axe, Eugene," "Echoes," "Saucerful Of Secrets," and other well-known songs that were already well-known in Japan. Although the complete setlist of the day is not recorded, this is a must-hear for fans of the "Madness" prototype, which drew so much attention that it was broadcast on Tokyo FM (TOKYO FM) at the time, and captured the milestone of the first performance of the prototype in Japan.
