Description:
This recital album features flutist Schwabe, born in Tokyo, raised in Hong Kong, and now based in London. She studied music and performing arts at the Hong Kong Junior Academy, graduated from the Purcell School of Music in London, and studied with Prof. Paul Meisen in Munich. 21 years old, she became principal flutist of the Munich Symphony Orchestra, joined the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra a few years later, and in 1996 joined the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 1996, he joined the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra as a flutist, a position he holds to this day. He is also active as a soloist and chamber musician. The new works by seven composers on this album, including the bright sonata by Genjesi and the jazz-tinged sonata by Mower, all have a variety of tunes and make full use of the piccolo's unique tone quality. This is a co-production with the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Naxos Japan
