After Noel Redding left the band in 1969, Jimi Hendrix stopped performing as The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Jimi Hendrix started to work with various artists to form a new band. When Cream broke up, Jimi Hendrix met Jack Bruce, who like Jimi Hendrix was looking to form a new band, at TTG Studios in Hollywood. The members were drummer Buddy Miles, who would later form the Band of Gypsies with Jimi Hendrix as support, and his band's guitarist, Jim McCarty.The sound here is a free form blues based session that is not finished as a song, and the phrase 'Sunshine Of Your Love' can be heard at times...
