True to its name, this album is centered on the band’s “love” for folk songs, featuring tracks like “Hokkai Bon-uta,” “Hanagasa Ondo,” “Shigesabushi,” and “Iyo Manzai”—the emotions of the common people passed down through folk songs from all over the country—are passionately revived through “Min-Kuru-Bushi,” a fusion of Japanese folk music with international beats like salsa, cumbia, and Afrobeat. Furthermore, this album features guest artists for the first time. From Japan, Mototose and Saya Asakura are featured, and from Colombia, their close allies Frente Cumbiero make an appearance.
