Live recording of Britten's "War Requiem" from the Saito Kinen Festival held in 2009, the 40th anniversary of the Saito Kinen Orchestra and the 50th anniversary of Hideo Saito's death. In addition to the orchestra and chorus filling the stage, a children's chorus was placed in the audience seats. Seiji Ozawa praised this work as "Britten's masterpiece," and it beautifully expresses the misery, anger, and sadness of war. Universal Music
