Recorded live at the 3rd Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto in 1993, the 40th anniversary of the Saito Kinen Orchestra and the 50th anniversary of Hideo Saito's death. Symphony No. 7 was Seiji Ozawa's first Beethoven recording with the Saito Kinen Orchestra. The remaining Beethoven symphonies were later performed and recorded between 1998 and 2002 to complete the complete symphony cycle. Universal Music
