The album "Music for Tourists - A Passport for Alternative Japan" is a secret glimpse into the parallel world of music. The compilation features 16 tracks of new music from 16 of Japan's most exciting bands. This album takes the listener on a journey through indie rock, art punk, post-rock, and industrial. The musical landscape changes just like the scenery in a train window changes one after another. Although the album title is a reference to Brian Eno's 1978 album "Ambient 1: Music for Airports," this compilation is not so much ambient as it is music that will shake you from the very beginning of the album.And the name of the album, "Music for Tourists," implies that the music is not for static places like airports where people travel, but for something more dynamic, with an emphasis on exploration and discovery, for those who travel to strange places through those airports. All of the music on the compilation album is the spirit of exploration itself, and all of the tracks are new or specially created for the compilation. For the listener, some of the participating artists may be new to them. All of the bands are essential, must-hear, and thrilling artists, including many newcomers who are generating buzz not only on the local scene but also across the scene.
