The virtuoso Guglielmi plays five instruments and expresses Galuppi's varied compositional ideasBaldassare Galuppi was a composer from Venice, Italy in the 18th century. A prolific composer, he wrote about 80 sonatas for harpsichord, 100 operas, and 20 oratorios. Galuppi is also known as a pioneer in the development of the sonata form. The nine sonatas included here were composed from around 1750 to 1781, and allow us to enjoy Galuppi's original style. Luca Guglielmi plays five different instruments, which allows him to express Galuppi's diverse expression more vividly. Guglielmi is an internationally acclaimed old-time keyboard player who has performed with Jordi Savall since 1997 and with Il Giardino armonico from 1999 to 2001. King International
