The Tower", directed by Jonathan Van Tulken, is a Future Islands' signature melody with flowing synths and the emotional voice of vocalist Samuel T. Herring. In the past, the group has pursued anthems that raise the energy to an all-time high, but with this album they have turned inward and unleashed a new level of ferocity, creating a series of moving and heartbreaking songs in a way that is the complete opposite of what they have done in the past.In other words, they took their time, each breath, each syllable.
