Produced by Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), US Mystery Girl Alexandra Savier makes her debut! Alexandra Savier is a 21 year old from Portland, Oregon. She has been a favorite project of Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) for the past two years, and now she is finally making her debut! All songs were co-written with Alex Turner, who participated in the recording not only on guitar but also on bass, drums, and keyboards. Together with his heartthrob James Ford (The Last Shadow Puppets, Simian Mobile Disco), he handles almost all of the backing vocals and produces the entire album. Her dainty looks and melancholy, ennui-laden, black-and-white film-like vocals are a perfect match for Alex Turner's worldview. Alexandra Savier's background includes listening to records by the Velvet Underground & Nico, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, and others to escape the bullying she experienced in high school, then moving to London to become a musician, where she caught the eye of the Columbia label, and it all began. It all started when he caught the attention of the Columbia label. She was a fan of the "Submarine" movie soundtrack, and as she hoped, the project with Alex Turner began, and the production of this album took place in Los Angeles. Alexandra herself sees the world of the album as both her own and a fictional story.She is herself, singing what she feels alone in the big city of Los Angeles, and the slightly dark world she describes, which she has painted single covers for and directed videos for, is completely a figment of her imagination. While Alexandra herself seems like a calmly played protagonist, it is also a quintessential girl-rock mix of love, sadness, and invincible girl coziness. Recommended not only to fans of Alex Turner, but also to girl rock fans at large!
