In 2011, she won her first Grammy Award for her album "Stanley Clarke Band featuring Hiromi Uehara". In 2013, she appeared on the cover of America's most prestigious jazz magazine, Downbeat, and in 2014, her last album, "ALIVE," reached #3 on the U.S. Jazz Charts. In 2015, Hiromi Uehara became the only Japanese artist to perform at Blue Note New York for 11 consecutive years. In Japan, Hiromi Uehara gave an overwhelming performance on the largest Green Stage at Fuji Rock Festival '15 in the summer of 2015, and was acclaimed as the best act of the day.Following "Voice" (2011), "MOVE" (2012) and "ALIVE" (2014), "The Trio Project" is teaming up with the world's best players, Anthony Jackson (contrabass guitar) and Simon Phillips (drums). This is the fourth and long-awaited new album from "The Trio Project". Following the previous two albums, all the songs on this album are originals by Hiromi Uehara. It is a dramatic work that expresses, in a single album, the story that unfolds when a person receives a strong impact that sparks something. Recorded in Connecticut in mid-October 2015 between world tours, the trio has been touring the world for five years since their formation in 2010, and their combination of heart to heart, backed by the absolute trust that comes with touring the world, envelops the listener with overwhelming power and scale. The Trio Project's unlimited potential and bouncing energy are packed into the live-feeling performance, making this an undeniable masterpiece.
