Joe Jackson, a singer-songwriter prodigy who emerged from the New Wave scene and has been creating diverse pop music for over 40 years, with elements of reggae, jazz, jive, Latin, and more. Live At Rockpalast", a live performance broadcast on the popular German music program "Rockpalast" in the 80's, is now available again on CD in a jewel case with sound and video on 2 CDs and 2 DVDs. Included are live performances in Essen, Germany on April 16-17, 1983, the year after the release of the 1982 masterpiece album "Night and Day"; in Markthalle, Hamburg on February 21, 1983; and at the first "Rockpalast" appearance at WDR Studios, Cologne on March 14, 1980. Showing his versatility in playing piano, saxophone, vibraphone, and percussion, Joe Jackson's performances range from the Latin rhythms of "Target," "TV Age," and "Another World," to the a cappella chorus of "Is She Really Going Out With Him," to a killer 60's Motown medley, all of which showcased his true chameleon cool. The performance is a true testament to the "chameleon cool" of Joe Jackson, who was known as "the coolest chameleon in the world.
