Another noteworthy feature is the coupling of works on the Hardanger fiddle, a Norwegian folk instrument. The young Norwegian violinist Elisabet Turmo studied at the Royal College of Music in England, where she won second prize at the International Grand Virtuoso Competition and first prize at the Norwegian National Youth Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with many orchestras and ensembles, including the Arctic Philharmonic and the Oslo Chamber Orchestra.
