A collection of flute works by Damaze by Anna Noakes, who was a friend of the composer himself. This is a collection of works by Jean-Michel Dammers, one of the most famous French composers of the 20th century, who studied with Marcel Dupré and others and was awarded the Prix de Rome. The collection includes works for flute and harp, a specialty of Damazes, who is particularly well known in the field of chamber music, as well as Damazes's unique arrangement of Debussy's "Suite Bergamasque" for flute, viola, and harp trio. Flutist Anna Noakes is one of the people particularly attached to the Dammers. She chose his chamber music for her first recording, and after Nokes sent her a letter, a good relationship was established, including Nokes' participation for two consecutive years as composer-in-residence at the summer school she presided over, and Damers' music became an integral part of Nokes' life.
