Bach played by Bach (stream)! A very interesting project. While focusing on Bach's masterpieces, Unaccompanied Cello Suites No. 2 and No. 3, the program includes unaccompanied cello works written by composers of the generation before and after Bach. In other words, by juxtaposing the works of composers who influenced Bach with those of composers who were influenced by Bach, this album shows us that Bach's masterpieces were not born suddenly at a certain time, but were naturally born in the course of time like the flow of a river. One of the stylish features of this album is that there is a track in which Bach's compositions were recorded outdoors by a stream (Bach means brook in German). Listening to Bach with the sound of a babbling brook has a healing effect. Baroque cellist Esmé de Vries studied in Jotrecht, the Netherlands, before switching to the gut-string baroque cello, and has a large repertoire ranging from solos to concertos.
