A concept album of works on the theme of "water"! This is the first in the "Five Elements" series by Italian pianist Francesco Maria Monchel, piano teacher at the Cagliari Conservatory since 2022. The main theme of this album is that art and nature are inseparable. Focusing on "water" among the five elements that make up nature, this album includes works on "water" composed by Scriabin, Liszt, Ravel, and Debussy. Scriabin's "Fantasy Sonata," for example, was inspired by the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea, and was innovative in that it was written in two movements even though it fit the late Romantic style.
