Mottensen's Bach, who also studied with Tatiana Nikolaeva! Debussy, Grieg, and Bartók, playing "Outdoors," a collection of works by Brahms, "In the Gloomy Midnight," a collection of chamber works by Schumann with the Engegård Quartet, and a series of Norwegian songs with mezzo-soprano Marianne Beate Sheran (Keelandt). Norwegian pianist Nils Anders Mottensen, who has appeared on numerous Lawo Classics albums, begins recording a collection of Bach partitas, his first Bach album since his 2019 release (LWC1174) of works including French overtures and English suites. This will be his first Bach album since his 2019 release (LWC1174), which includes French overtures and English suites. Nils Anders Mottensen was born in 1971 in the Norwegian port town of Flekkefjord, where he began playing the piano at the age of three and won the Norwegian Young Pianists Competition in 1986. He has studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, and has also studied with Tatiana Nikolaeva and Hans Reigraf.He has performed as a soloist with many of Norway's major orchestras, and is also active in recording activities.
