Description:
Yuri Favolin, a brilliant pianist born in Moscow in 1986, presents a program of Liszt. He placed fourth at the 2010 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition; his performances left a deep impression on audiences. He has performed on various stages and, having served as a substitute for Chiccolini at the La Roque d’Anthéron Music Festival, is a rising star. Favolin’s appeal lies in his rich expressiveness and a tone full of color and evocative imagery. The abundant lyricism in “God’s Blessing in Solitude” and the torrential flood of sound that surges forth are truly overwhelming.
