Gareth Lockrain is a flutist, composer, and arranger based in London. He is constantly sought after for a wide range of musical projects, from touring with top international artists to soundtracks for Hollywood movies. His commitment to big band work dates back to his first album, Fistfight At The Barndance. It was ranked in the top five jazz albums of the year by the British Jazz Awards and was a finalist for Best Jazz Album at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards. This second album is a multi-layered arrangement that blends established British jazz masters with young, academy-trained musicians. Gareth plays flute and conducts, and is joined by four trumpets, four trombones, five reeds, guitar, piano, bass, percussion, and drums in a spectacular performance.
