The splendid members, including Atsusuke Mine, Sadanori Nakamure, and Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, have gathered together to give the veteran bassist his first leader album in more than 50 years of playing experience. The following is an excerpt from the liner notes: "The most appealing thing about this album is the bass's original profound tone. When Inaba started playing the bass, there were no amplifiers, and even the biggest bands had to sound live. Inaba's knobby fingertips are a testament to the powerful playing style he developed during that era. In addition, his concentration and ability to stay on the beat are excellent, and his strong bass running is powerful enough to overwhelm the listener. His favorite bassist is Sam Jones, whom he says he loves for his beat and speed."
