Bach by Phantasm, a hero of the viol ensemble! This is an album of works for keyboard by the great Bach, arranged by Lawrence Dreyfuss for viol ensemble of three to six voices and performed by Phantasm, led by Dreyfuss and Marc Ruorajan-Miccola. The highly expressive and active expression of each member vividly depicts the delicate twill of each voice as written by Bach. It should be noted that the use of a wide range of instruments, from treble to violone, has increased the range of expression and made the album more rewarding to listen to. Founded in 1994, Phantasm is a viol ensemble that has won international acclaim for its albums, including three Gramophone Annual Awards and two Diapason d'Or awards. The title of this album is a parody of "Das Wohltemperierte Klavier" (originally meaning "Well-Tuned Keyboard Instruments"), which is generally translated as "The Mean Rule Clavier Collection.
