Walther has been active in SP electric recording since its early days, and there are many recordings of small pieces. Among them, there are quite a few Wagner recordings, but here, in the image of a promenade concert, I have grouped them together with overtures and waltzes recorded in the decade from 1929 to 1938, excluding Wagner. Walter recorded with many orchestras, and the recordings on this CD include six orchestras in London, Berlin, Vienna, and Paris. Although he lived in exile due to political reasons, the fact that he left so many recordings shows that he was a conductor loved by everyone. The early recordings of the waltz are shortened performances in order to include them in one SP. (Ryo Aihara) King International
