Sunhouse is a legendary rock band born in Hakata, Japan in 1970 at the dawn of Japanese rock music. In 2025, the 55th anniversary of their formation and the 50th anniversary of the release of their first album "Arikoten", the band has completed a 13-disc box set (7 CDs + 6 DVDs) that captures their history in three dimensions with "sound and images". This is a definitive work that allows the viewer to experience half a century of creativity and passion, including previously unreleased sound sources and never-before-seen footage. This album contains a number of must-have sound sources for music fans, including King Snake Blues' 1st take "Snake Song", a fantastic unreleased song "Come on Baby", "Let's Boogie", the original song for "Do the Boogie" performed by THE ROOSTERS and THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT, the oldest song from the Hakata Dance Hall Box Band era The album also contains many must-have sound sources for music fans, including the earliest recorded live sound sources from the Hakata Dance Hall Box Band days, and "Ura Utopia", an unreleased collection of songs from the first album "Utopia", which includes an ather mix and unreleased tracks from the album. Sun House was born in Hakata in 1970, at the dawn of Japanese rock music, as the one and onlyThe explosive energy of the band, Kiku's (Toshiyuki Shibayama) sharp and piercing Japanese lyrics and original songs, Makoto Ayukawa's emotionally-charged guitar, and the wild and groovy beats of Tetsuo Shinoyama, Toshihiro Nara, and Onihei. Sunhouse started the blues and rock 'n' roll movement in Hakata, which later became the cornerstone of the "Mentai Rock" and "Hakata Beat" scenes, and influenced numerous bands such as the Roosters, the Mods, the Rockers, and the ARB. This film brings back to life the proof of Sunhouse's "living rock" in the form of "previously unreleased soundtracks" and "previously unreleased videos," half a century after its release. The recordings include a vast amount of cassettes, B-tapes, and DATs that Makoto Ayukawa had carefully stored, as well as open reels that were collected by Yasushi Matsumoto of Fukuoka import record store "Juke Records," who supported Sunhouse from its early days to his later years. All of these recordings have never been officially released, and are valuable records from the early days of the band's formation in 1970, including some that Ayukawa himself selected and mastered before his death. These recordings have been carefully restored to maximize the reality of the "sound" and the breath of the "recordings" to create a composition that allows the listener to experience the impact of that time.
