Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the Vienna Tonekünstler Orchestra present their second collection of Mendelssohn (1809-1847). This performance shows a closer relationship between the conductor and orchestra than the previous coupling disc of No. 1 & No. 3. Both orchestras will have new partners in 2015 (Orozco-Estrada will become the principal conductor of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and the Tonkünstler Orchestra will welcome Yutaka Sado as its principal conductor), and I think they will make even greater strides in the future. Whatever the case may be, please listen to these two wonderful Mendelssohn pieces. Naxos Japan
