Ronnie Barron, who was at the core of the New Orleans sound with Dr. John, produced this 1978 album with Haruomi Hosono, and it has been remastered and reissued by Makoto Kubota, the co-producer of this album! The New Orleans recording features Dr. John and members of The Meters, while the Tokyo recording features Tin Pan Alley and members of the Sunset Band. The deep sound bridging New Orleans and Tokyo is a work that must be heard now more than ever. The commentary includes a liner by Manabu Yuasa based on interviews with Haruomi Hosono and Makoto Kubota.
