THE DONKEY JAWBONE is the new project of Paul Elliot and Anthony Donje, who have been deeply involved in the production music division of the popular UK label Ninja Tune since its inception and continue to provide music for the label! The Donkey Jawbone, a two-person production and songwriting team based in Suffolk on England's East Coast, is a well-oiled music production machine. Comprised of multi-instrumentalists Paul Elliott and Anthony Donje, they begin by recording all of their projects and exchanging ideas and musical parts with each other while working out of their respective studios, The WetRoom and Studio Gimlet. Elliott and Donje have a large collection of analog and vintage equipment, which they use in their production approach to create an authentic and sometimes unusual sound. As music industry professionals as well as music fans, they are influenced by a wide variety of musical styles, which is what sets them apart from other composers in their ability to write, produce, engineer, and mix in multiple genres.For more than a decade, Elliott and Donje have been working together - playing in headlining bands on stages in the UK and Europe - and mixing albums for other artists under the name "The Donkey Jawbone. (The name "Donkey Jawbone" is a reference to the band's name. (The name "Donkey Jawbone" comes from a rare Afro-Peruvian percussion instrument.) The Donkey Jawbone has produced/released a lot of production music and was heavily involved in the creation of Ninja Tune's production music in 2017, which continues to this day. Working with some of the world's most prestigious publishers and record labels, their music is truly heard around the world on TV, radio, film, and drama.
