Bon Jovi's live performance at the height of his career, when his album "Slippery When Wet" and two singles hit No.1 in the U.S. and he conquered the world! Bon Jovi released the show at Cincinnati Gardens, Ohio on March 19, 1987, from the "Slippery When Wet Tour", where Bon Jovi broke out with the smash hit "Slippery When Wet", which has become a major classic! Bon Jovi's debut song "Runaway" slipped into the Top 40, but by their second album, both singles and albums were hovering at a tenuous position. However, the single "You Give Love a Bad Name," released on July 23, 1986, spent 13 weeks at No. 1 in the US. The following song, "Livin' On A Prayer," spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in the U.S. for the second consecutive week and held that position for four weeks. The album "Slippery When Wet" also reached No. 1 and has been an extraordinarily big hit in North America, selling 15 million copies to date.The tour that followed the album was the first full-scale world tour, and started on July 14, 1986 in Vancouver, Canada, and lasted one year and three months. The seats were not full at first, but after "Slippery When Wet" began climbing the charts at the end of September, the tour was sold out across the board, and the band's popularity quickly grew. This Cincinnati show was the most exciting yet, as it came after two U.S. No. 1 hits. The setlist was a mix of songs from the three albums up to this point, but the rarest of all was a cover of Dobie Gray's "Drift Away," a song that was frequently performed at these shows. The song was frequently played live at this time and is one of their roots songs. Unfortunately, John's voice is quite raspy on this tour, but there is no doubt that the band is on the verge of standing on top of the world right now!
