With guests including Simon Phillips (ds/801 Project), their music fused Brown's delicate singer/songwriter style with Godwin's modern synth-pop sound, and while also serving as a bridge between glam rock and the New Romantic school, the band's first album, "Criminal World", was released on Transatlantic Records in 1976. Their music influenced conscious musicians such as David Bowie, who covered the song "Criminal World" on the album.
