The second project for the 115th anniversary of Takashi Asahina's birth. The 200th anniversary project of Bruckner's birth. First SACD release in the form of the complete works! Two Bruckner works that have been highly acclaimed by fans! Extra edition. Included in the Canyon original recording of the complete works, a different version of No. 4 and No. 8, which has not been released since its initial release in 2004. New manuscript by Hikoyuki Komibuchi and commentary by Kuniyoshi Uno and Shoji Onodera on the original release are included in this latest reissue. New mastering by Tomotoshi Ezaki for this reissue. Limited edition of 700 sets with serial numbers! This is the third edition of Symphony No. 4 "Romantic" recorded by Canyon Classics in its entirety (edited version), live at Suntory H on July 23, 1993. The "No. 8" is from a live performance in Nagoya in February 2001, and was first released in 2004, three years after the death of the maestro. It was recorded five months before the same piece in the "Asahina's Last Bruckner" series (Eccleston), and the performance was highly praised by Mr. Kuniyoshi Uno. With a new manuscript including detailed data by Hikoyuki Komibuchi, reprinting of the original manuscript by Kuniyoshi Uno, green label specifications, and new mastering by Tomotoshi Ezaki in 2024, we will enjoy the scale-rich Bruckner by the master revived after decades. A new item will be added to Asahina's Bruckner high quality sound project. The "Romantic" from the original Canyon disc "Bruckner: The Complete Symphonies (3rd and final cycle) (1992-1995) [OVEP00016]", which was reissued in 2021, was performed on three dates (July 21-23, 25, 1993 at the Osaka Philharmonic Hall, Suntory Hall, and Omiya Sonic Hall, Osaka, Japan), Suntory Hall, and Omiya Sonic City). This release was made with Asahina's permission, but in response to requests for a stand-alone version, an unedited version of the Osaka performance, which included all of the music, was released once in 1995 as an ARTON disc. This time, based on this ARTON disc, we are releasing a revised version with some changes requested by those involved.The original ARTON disc also used the Suntory Hall performance, but this reissue is not completely identical to the ARTON disc, so this is precisely the first time the valuable sound source has been released in this format. Therefore, strictly speaking, this reissue is a different edition from the SACD version released in 2021, so this is the world premiere of the entire recording. The complete recording of the entire concert at Suntory Hall, which is not mentioned above, does not exist, and it seems that only a part of the recording was used in the previous editing. (1/2)
