This is the first solo album by Leipzig-born tenor Patrick Grahl, who was a member of the St. Thomas Church Choir, where Bach served as cantor (music director) and won first prize at the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2016. Under the title "Dichterliebe" (Love of a Poet), he sings songs of heartbreaking love, conflict and longing as depicted by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Schumann. Tokyo M-Plus
