Up-and-coming young trio trio Carrenine debuts! The name comes from Tolstoy's novel "Anna Karenina". They studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with the Ysaÿe String Quartet and took master classes with Menahem Pressler and Bayerle. She won the Special Prize/Pro Musictis Society Prize at the 5th Haydn Chamber Music Competition, and in 2013, she won the highest prize (2nd prize) at the International Competition in Munich, a promising young talent. Schumann composed three piano trios between 1847 and 1851. The first and second were both written in 1847. The "No. 1" was a birthday present for his wife Clara, and the "No. 2" was written in a creative and free form. The "No. 2" is a masterpiece that is a cross between Schumann's inner frustration and his occasional bursts of energetic passion.
