Strauss, and others as a professor at the Vienna Conservatory alongside Bruckner. Each piece is a masterpiece, brimming with graceful cello melodies and brilliant, exquisitely refined harmonies. Cellist Franz Ortner, born in Austria in 1980, is a promising young artist who has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, among others.
