CIX returns with its first single album with a different concept after eight months since its sixth mini-album "Save me, Kill me". The first single, "0 or 1," consists of two songs, the title track "Lovers or Enemies" and "Shadow," and is filled with music that maintains CIX's unique colors while highlighting a new and different side. Lovers or Enemies" is a direct confessional song that asks you to either be my lover or my enemy. The retro but at the same time stylish instruments make the song an attractive dance-pop genre song, and the vocoder (coined from "voice" + "encoder") and the members' chords are added to the hook part to create an impressive three-dimensional harmony. Shadow" is a song that contains a message of devotion and love that it is okay to be someone's shadow, with poetic lyrics such as "You don't know my name is a shadow" and "My name is a shadow that lives for you" and a dreamy, fairy-tale-like piano sound that gradually builds up to a gorgeous string line.
