The up-and-coming Irida Trio from Saarbrücken, formed in 2018, makes its debut! Named after the goddess Iris, who left a dazzling rainbow-colored trail in the sky as a messenger between Olympus and earth, the Irida Trio has been exploring an immensely diverse piano trio repertoire since its formation at the Saar College of Music in the fall of 2018 and since 2022 at the Berlin University of the Arts. They have studied with the Artemis Quartet. The theme of this work is the "phoenix," symbolizing the process of transformation, and focuses on the vivid change from C minor to C major in Mendelssohn's work, for example. Tokyo M-Plus
