Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Description:

Neil Young, the lone legend of the rock scene, has released the album "DUME", a compilation of his classic and hidden masterpieces from the second 10-CD box set of the "Neil Young Archives" series, which was released in 2020. is now available for the first time as a stand-alone album on vinyl! The album includes many previously unreleased recordings and outtakes from the recording of his 1975 masterpiece "ZUMA", which he created with his close friend CRAZY HORSE. Neil Young is the lone legend of the rock scene. Not only has he released new albums that compile the words he wants to convey to the world today, but he has also continued to release previously unreleased sound sources and a series of rare live archives, and he is a legend who never stops transmitting songs and words, and he is truly worthy of the name "living legend. The "Neil Young Archive" series, which unravels his great footsteps through rare and unreleased sound sources, has released two works (Vol. 1 in 2009 and Vol. 2 in 2020) to date, and has once again brought his vast archive and rich musical compositions to the world, DUME," which was included as Disc 8 of the second release in the archive series, is now being released as a stand-alone album for the first time. This is the first time that this sound source will be released on analog vinyl. The recordings included here are mainly from the 1975 recording of the masterpiece "ZUMA" with his close friend Crazy Horse, and are the first time that DUME, who in the 1960s had been taking his own musical direction as a solo artist and as a group, had found freedom of expression. In the mid-70s, he continued to record his own music while further developing his creativity, and "DUME" beautifully captures the spark-like intensity that Neil Young possessed during this period.Neil Young, Crazy Horse, and producer David Briggs were recording their next album at Point Dume in Malibu at the time, open and free after the twists and turns of their 1975 album, TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT. They were feeling free and open after the twists and turns of their 1975 album, TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT, and as Neil was creating the songs on this album, he noticed that each song formed a flow of its own. The songs picked up from that recording session were compiled and released on the album "ZUMA," named after a beach in Malibu near where they were living at the time. Neil's goal in deciding to include the recording sessions in the archive series was to interweave the songs from the "ZUMA" album and the recorded/unreleased material from that time into a single stream of work.Taking the "ZUMA" album as its starting point, "DUME" is a brilliant work that reconstructs Neil Young in the mid-70s using previously unreleased and previously recorded material, further expanding on the sound he was freely expressing at the time.
